Mrs. Charissa Tan

Mrs. Charissa Tan is an experienced English teacher who has taught in various government and premier schools for almost a decade before becoming the Principal English Coach at Knowledge Trail Learning Centre.
Throughout her teaching career, Mrs. Tan has helped her students gain greater confidence in their English Language skills. Driven by her dedication to her students and her deep passion for education, she tirelessly seeks out creative and innovative teaching methods to engage and inspire her students.
At Knowledge Trail, she continues to shine a light for all her students, providing them with a sure path towards excellence in English. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia, Mrs. Tan obtained her Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Merit) from the National Institute of Education (NIE). She also obtained her Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and graduated with Distinction.

Mrs. Charissa has written and published 2 titles under the Scan and Learn series:
Lower Secondary English Editing Workbook.
Upper Secondary English Editing Workbook.
These books are currently used in many Secondary schools in Singapore and have helped students get much higher marks in the Editing section in the English GCE ‘O’ Level Examinations.

Mr. Darrin Tan
Every child can excel in Maths!
Mr. Darrin started Knowledge Trail in 2009 and has since been passionately involved in the education of a lot more students to this date; delivering excellent results (varying from greatly improved results to Distinctions) in Maths to his students.
Darrin graduated from NUS in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. He later obtained a Postgraduate in Education (with credit) from NIE and joined MOE. He was initially deployed as a Mathematics and English teacher. After obtaining his Masters of Science in Mathematics Education, he taught Mathematics in Yishun Junior College, Dunman High School, Raffles Girls’ School and Republic Polytechnic.
